It should be grown in areas protected from strong winds. It prefers semi-shade with the possibility of exposing part of its crown to the sun. It is suitable for growing as a support within fences or in pots. It requires medium watering (in droughts and summer). It grows quickly and blooms abundantly (often throughout the year). It lives naturally in the mountains of the middle and upper Uruguay River.
